Llanidloes Community Wildlife Garden.

Based behind the Great Oak Foods (Siop Organic) local and organic shop, this garden was designed by Emma Maxwell in 2005. The garden was constructed with the help of volunteers and plants donated by the community, funding from Llanidloes Resource Centre (LRC, now closed down) and a large discount from the Dingle nursery Welshpool. http://lrc.org.uk/content/garden

The garden has been awarded the Green Flag Award each year, giving recognition for the clean, safe, community space that has been created. There is much wildlife to be seen and notice boards around the garden to give you more information.

To find the garden: enter through the alleyway next to Siop organic, Great Oak street, or the Cafe, you will first come to the community courtyard garden and then enter the wildlife garden through the oak and acorn gate.
