Llanidloes Community Wildlife Garden.

Started in 2005, a haven for wildlife and humans alike.

Based behind the Great Oak Foods local and organic shop, this garden was designed by Emma Maxwell for year round food and habitat for wildlife. The garden was constructed with the help of volunteers and plants donated by the community, funding from Llanidloes Resource Centre (LRC, now closed down) and a large discount from the Dingle nursery Welshpool.

The garden has been awarded the Green Flag Award each year, giving recognition for the clean, safe, community space that has been created. There is much wildlife to be seen and notice boards around the garden to give you more information.

To find the garden: enter through the alleyway next to Great Oak Foods or the Great Oak Cafe on Great Oak Street, you will first come to the community courtyard garden and then enter the wildlife garden through the oak and acorn gate.
